Jästbolaget was founded in 1893 and is today the Nordic region’s leading producer and supplier of yeast and fermentation-based products, always with care for people and the environment.

We operate in two business areas: baker’s yeast and specialty products for, for example, feed production, alcohol manufacturing, and acrylamide-reducing purposes.

Production takes place through an advanced biochemical process at our automated facility north of Stockholm. We also conduct extensive development work to create new products and applications.

Our products are sold in the Nordic market, but we also have a significant export business.
